What’s on at St Peter’s in November 2017

Sun 5th Nov


On Sunday 5th November at 4pm there will be a Memorial Service at St Peter’s Church for anyone suffering from bereavement.

It will be an opportunity to remember and pray for friends and family who have died recently or in the past, and for ourselves, who are facing feelings of loss, sadness and grief. An invitation is not required for this service, please just come along.

Tues 7th Nov


Senior Citizens Lunch club with activities and a hot meal every Tuesday.

Every Tuesday, 10am-2pm  

Arrive from 10am-10.30 and enjoy tea or coffee and a chat, followed by the activity of the day e.g. films, talks, crafts, games, cake decorating, to name just a few!

Lunch served from about 12:15pm: a freshly cooked hot meal followed by dessert, for just £5 per person.

Ideal for anyone wanting a bit of companionship and something to do!

Moorhouse Community Action group meeting.
Fri 10th Nov 7.30pm Film Club “A Matter of Life and Death”: Classic British film starring David Niven. Click here for more information.
Sat 11th Nov


Winter Fayre at Mount Road Chapel with lots of stalls and refreshments.
Sun 12th Nov


Remembrance Sunday parade service with the uniformed organisations.
Wed 15th Nov


PCC Meeting at St Peter’s church.

Weds 22nd Nov


West Riding Watercolour society meeting annual general meeting.

The group meets every month at St Peter’s Church for demonstrations by artists, informal painting evenings and to share techniques and knowledge.

Open to everyone; the cost is £3.50 per session.

Next meeting: Wednesday 22nd November 7pm-9pm

Note this will be the last meeting of the year.

St Nicholas parade service: bring a wrapped gift for a child in need this Christmas.

The St Nicholas family and parade service is an opportunity to donate a wrapped gift for a child who might otherwise not receive much this Christmas. The gifts will be handed over to the Barnados charity to be distributed. Please bring a wrapped gift, labelled with a suggested age and gender.
