A review
Many thanks to everyone who supported the Victorian Bazaar at the
Community Centre on Saturday 24th November. The event was a great
success and raised just over £1,400 which was a very similar
total to the amount raised last year.
There were lots and lots of stalls, including a raffle,
silent auction, cakes, children’s toys and tombola,
books, jewellery, bric-a-brac, soft toys, bottle tombola, Xmas
decorations and flower arrangements, hand-knitted baby clothes,
curtains and bedding, and local honey. There was also a
Traidcraft stall, and refreshments were available including tea,
coffee, mince pies and bacon butties. The event was very
well attended, and it was very busy throughout the morning. As
always, the stall-holders made a great effort to look the part, and
were all dressed in Victorian style costumes.
Many thanks to the organisers, the stallholders and everyone who helped
beforehand and on the day to make it such an enjoyable, happy and
successful event. Particular thanks of course to everyone who
came along on the day to support the event.
