St Peter's Church Spring
Fayre

St Peter’s
annual Spring Fayre was held at the Community Centre on Saturday 24th
March was a massive success. It raised £1,047 which
was almost £200 more than last year’s
event. This was despite the fact that although the event was
busy, there didn’t seem to be quite the numbers of visitors
as previous years.
As always, there were some excellent stalls: the cake stall and the
chocolate egg tombola both sold out very quickly, and the Bottle
tombola was also very popular. The craft stall offered some
wonderful handmade items which were beautifully presented.
There were also handmade greetings cards, a toy stall, book stall,
’name-the-dog’, bric-a-brac and pop and crisps
stall.
This year there was also a handbags and accessories stall which offered
a range of new and second-hand bags, scarves and belts. The
ever popular plant stall was located outside and was also very popular,
thanks to the mild weather. Visitors were also able to enjoy
a variety of refreshments including tea, coffee and hot cross buns.
Many thanks to the organisers of the event for all their planning and
hard work. Thanks also to the stallholders who always work
very hard to make their stalls successful, and often put in many hours
of work to prepare items for sale. There were also many
people who donated raffle prizes and items for the stalls.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who came to the Spring Fayre gave it such
great support.
