The familiar site of "The Church on the Hill" is in fact the old St Peter's Church. St Peter’s congregation moved into the Church Centre (the unused St Peter’s nursery building) on Lake Lock Road in December 2001.

The building has been completely redecorated and many improvements to the building have been made. The centre incorporates a main hall where the services are held, a church office, the cafe, and rooms which are used for meetings, youth groups and the Children’s Ark parent and toddler group.
