Moorhouse Family Fun Day: with BBQ & games, on Moorhouse Grove.

The Moorhouse Community Action Group is organising the Fun Day, with free BBQ, games and a fun competition. It will be held on the proposed site of the new Community Centre on Moorhouse Grove, just beyond the shop. It is an ideal opportunity for people to give ideas for what they would like to see happen in the centre and offer to help.

New Sing-along Group for over 50's at Church Centre, for everyone who loves singing!

A new Sing-along and Social group for over-50’s ladies and gentlemen will be meeting at St Peter’s Church Centre. The group will meet every Monday afternoon, beginning at 1pm with refreshments, followed by an enjoyable sing-along session, with time to chat afterwards. It is free to join, though a donation for refreshments would be appreciated. The group has been started up with a community grant, and is organised by Yvette Shaw, with Jo Lambert as Musical Director and Eleanor Plant as pianist.

No previous singing experience is required, just a love of singing and enthusiasm! We hope to try lots of different genres, including songs from musicals, hymns etc. We hope to see you there!
