Proud to be in Stanley

At St. Peter's we care for our village and the people who make up our community. We are always looking for ways to contribute to the life of the village and improve quality of life for everyone.

Here are some things we currently do and some of the new things we are planning to do in the current year (2009 – 2010)

We enjoy the privilege of helping people celebrate their wedding day. Couples can get married in the Church Centre, or in the neighbouring church at Lofthouse. Contact the vicar for more information

Music and play for toddlers and support for their carers. Thursdays, 9.15 – 11 am.

Support for community groups

Community Social Events
Many evening and weekend social events are held for the village - everything from a murder mystery dinner to a ceilidh or an Art and Craft weekend.

Annual Village Pantomime
The village pantomime takes place at the Church Centre and in the village hall on dates in December and January. Book early. Tickets sell out fast!
