St Peter's School Summer Gala: maypole dancers, Stanley Starlights Majorettes, children’s entertainer, games and stalls.

Entertainment in the arena:
- The Stanley Starlights Majorettes,
- The Stanley St Peter's Maypole dancers
- 'Giggles' children's entertainer
- Children's games with David Hennessey, the local 'Funfit' instructor.

Stalls and activities: lucky boxes, win-a-teddy, hoopla, spin-a-wheel, face painting, bouncy castle, a coconut shy, balloons, lollipop game, tombola, hook-a-bottle, penalty shoot-out, win-a-goldfish, bottle tombola and hook-a-duck.

Refreshments: BBQ, cakes & buns, refreshments
Admission: 20p for adults and free for children.

Talent Night at the Church Centre, organised by the young people of the church.

Family service and parade service at 10am followed by a BBQ and bring and share lunch to which everyone is invited.

20th Anniversary of the Mara Link: a special service at Wakefield cathedral.

Bishop Hilkiah of Mara will be preaching.

Following Bishop Hilkiah's visit to Wakefield, Bishop Stephen Platten will make a return visit to Mara in October. During this year, other Wakefield parishioners will also be making the journey to Tanzania to visit their link parishes.

Moorhouse Action Group meeting at the Church Centre.
The Moorhouse Community Action Group is well underway with its plans to establish a new community centre on the Moorhouse estate. This will be somewhere for people of all ages, young and old, to meet with friends, and take part in various activities.

At this meeting, the group will be discussing the option of moving future meetings to Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm. Everybody is welcome to attend these meetings.
