Peter's Church, Stanley
(Wakefield, Yorkshire, UK)
We're a growing Church, in the heart of the Stanley community. We are
no longer located in the large Church building
on the hill as the congregation
moved into the Church Centre on Lake Lock Road in December 2001. Since
then, the building has been thoroughly cleaned and redecorated.
A new kitchen has been installed and improvements to the building are
ongoing.
Our Vicar is Bill Henderson who has been at St Peter’s since
1993. Bill is married to Viv and they have four children.
Bill originally trained as a civil engineer, and then undertook
missionary work in Africa before becoming a vicar.
